The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has collaborated with GTT to launch its second National Small Business Week, which celebrates and elevates our nation’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Under the theme, ‘Strategic Collaboration for Success,’ the Small Business Week will see some 60 companies participating this year.
There is a roster of activities to foster collaborations, culminating with an expo slated for July 29, 2023, at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre (ACCA).
Dr Rosh Khan, Head of the National Small Business Week, emphasised the vital role of small businesses within our communities.
“National Small Business Week, now in its second year, aims to provide our MSME members with invaluable advice and guidance from accomplished business executives. This event is a strategic collaboration for success, as we recognize the tremendous potential of small businesses to drive positive change in the world of business and beyond.”
The week-long initiative intends to enhance the visibility and success of the MSME community and highlight the need for collaborative efforts in Guyana’s growing economy.
National Small Business Week will showcase a dynamic program featuring a captivating video series highlighting the journeys of rising entrepreneurs.
In addition, GCCI councillors will embark on regional outreaches, bringing valuable support and guidance directly to local businesses.
Also, the week will see the ‘Teenternship’ program,’ which aims to empower students with hands-on training alongside accomplished business executives.
Furthermore, participating businesses will offer exclusive discounts on their products and services, creating unparalleled opportunities for customers.
GCCI has joined forces with various government ministries, corporate sponsors, and business service organisations to ensure that the initiative is a success and its continuity as an annual event.
The schedule of activities, enticing special offers, and additional resources can be found on GCCI’s dedicated National Small Business Week website at http://nsbw.gcci.gy/ as well as on the official GCCI LinkedIn and Facebook pages.
